BRANSON, MO
We have been in Branson, MO since Sunday evening. Debby's Mom had suffered a stroke and we changed our travel plans to come here. There isn't much we can do except be available to spend the night in the hospital and give the other two daughters a break. Mom is slowly recovering her movements and speech. We just take one day at a time.
Cox South Hospital in Springfield is a nice facility but its not home! We help Mom as best as we can; comforting her, talking to her, reading, praying, etc. Deb and I have been staying in Branson (except for the two nights she stayed with her Mom in the hospital room) and driving the 35 miles to Springfield every morning. She continues to improve each day, a little at a time. Se is close to getting discharged from this hospital and being admitted into a rehabilitation unit across the street. I think she is ready for something different. I know she wants to go home!
We plan to stay here and help out for at least another week. If she makes an improved leap, we will head back down into Texas and prepare to be in Dallas on March first or second. We have to fly out of DFW and be in LA on the third of March to catch our hop to New Zealand. We will be on the north island for one week, then fly to the South Island for a week. It should be fun!
Thank you for the prayers for Mom! They are much appreciated!
