VIENNA, AUSTRIA
Today was spent sightseeing Vienna. This is another beautiful city! The buildings downtown were constructed by real craftsmen in an era when architects knew what they were doing! It is an interesting mixture of old and new.
We started our day as "proper" Viennese tourist with coffee and breakfast in one of the MANY cafes. Then we attempted to get our bearings by a ride around the city.
We ended up at the summer palace of Vienna's royalty, the Hapsburg's......rough life!
The gardens were breath taking! We also had an "a-mazing" time in the labyrinth and maze. It was worth the trip. Tomorrow we will see the winter palace. They are about 5 miles apart .
St Stephens was a beautiful cathedral. We ended our day in another cafe with more coffee.... A person could get used to this......
We are so thankful to see all these places. Our hope is that each of you would have a similar opportunity some day. Blessings on your day!
On another note , Debby's mom is having open heart surgery on Thursday morning...please keep Nan in your prayers .
