Branson. MO

BRANSON, MO
June 28, 2015

THE DRIVE ACROSS Nebraska and parts of Missouri looked much alike.  In fact, eastern Alberta, Canada, eastern Montana, Wyoming g, South Dakota, Nebraska and the edge of Missouri looked a lot alike.  Small rolling hills with a lot of flat land marked each state.  It was good to get into the Missouri Ozarks.  Roots.

We stopped in Joplin and said goodbye to our traveling companions, the Pinkertons.  Their daughter and get husband met us at a truck stop where we traded off. We had a fun adventure with them, braving a forest fire in Alaska to walking on one of North America's largest ice fields to sleeping and driving hundreds of miles together.

We parked outside of Branson, MO in Kimberling City at the home of Debby's sister and mom's house.  They gave a modest 6000 sq ft home overlooking Lake of the Ozarks.  A highlight this week was watching a crane set their new swimming pool in place.

It was good to visit and spend time with Debby's Mom again.  Marvin was busy working around the house sprucing it up ahead of the Winn Family Reunion on the 15th of July.  After this short visit we will continue our road trip Eastward to North Carolina and parts beyond.

We'll be back.
