CAR HENGE

CAR HENGE
June 27, 2015

We left Keystone, SD and pulled into the sleepy little town of Alliance, Nebraska to visit the infamous, privately created, exhibit called CARHENGE.

This exhibit was sold to the City of Alliance, NB by its owner.  I suppose this is Alliance's only attraction.  Enough said about that.

CARHENGE was created using vintage automobiles and finished with a heavy coat of slate gray paint.  Admission is free.  This exhibit is unique, except that it mimics the Stonehenge structure in England.  Not to mention the crowds aren't quite as large. Admission is still free. The souvenirs still cost.

Following a lunchtime picnic we were on the road again.  We head for Joplin, MO where we said goodbye to our traveling companions, Ron and Nancy Pinkerton.  Until next time...

Taking the back roads, we set our GPS for Kimberling City, MO where we will be spending the next week.
